Welcome to The Education Exchange Yorkshire & Humber, the birthplace of an initiative that has revolutionised collaboration in education. Founded by Paul Tarn, CEO of Delta Academies Trust, The Education Exchange is a pioneering network that fosters mutual support, professional growth, and collective learning among schools, academies, trusts, and leaders.
As the original driver for The Education Exchange, the Yorkshire & Humber branch serves as a model for regions nationwide, setting the standard for what is possible when educational leaders unite for the benefit of children and communities.

A Legacy of Collaboration
Since its inception, The Education Exchange has hosted numerous conferences that bring together leaders from across the educational spectrum. These events have built a stellar reputation for fostering strong partnerships between schools, trusts, and the Department for Education (DfE), rooted in a shared vision of professional friendship and generosity.
The Education Exchange Conferencing Centre
In 2022, the Education Exchange Conferencing Centre was officially opened by Diana Barran, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education.
This state-of-the-art facility provides a dedicated space where educational professionals can:
- Collaborate openly: Leaving egos at the door to focus on shared goals.
- Build professional friendships: Strengthening networks through forums and discussions.
- Aspire to innovate: Developing and ideas that transform education.
The opening of the centre was a celebration of The Education Exchange’s achievements and a platform to set ambitious goals for its future projects.
“The Education Exchange provides fantastic professional experience and development opportunities for those in the supporting role and those being supported. Our aspiration is to build a school system which is a self-improving system, where Trusts are supporting and learning from one another, where we are building those. This is an exciting initiative and absolutely has to have the support from the Department.”

A Platform for Excellence
The Education Exchange is more than just a network; it is a movement that has created tangible improvements in education. As Will Teece, Headteacher at Brookvale Groby Learning Campus, describes:
“The Education Exchange is like discovering an untapped seam of educational gold I never knew existed.”
