Delta colleagues from the Inclusion Team were asked by the DfE to facilitate an inspiring session during the recent RISE Inclusion conference in Leeds this week. The team detailed how the trust use data to drive inclusivity, ensuring that no child is left behind.

The Yorkshire and the Humber region has a proud culture rooted in strong communities and high ambition. It is this collective striving for success that underpins the DfE’s universal regional improvement for standards and excellence (RISE) programme. The RISE programme ensures every school in the region is part of a strong community, is open and collaborative, and gives and receives support.

The focus includes:

  • closing the disadvantage gap at every stage of children’s education
  • having inclusive schools
  • ensuring children feel a sense of belonging to their school and attend every possible day they can

Delta are proud delivery partners of the RISE programme and are pleased that Inclusion features heavily within this initiative. We are grateful to be asked to share our ideas with others across the Region.

Anna Heaton, Executive Principal & Inclusion lead for the trust said:

We were absolutely thrilled to be invited to be part of the RISE inclusion conference today for Yorkshire & the Humber, presenting on how we use data to drive inclusivity. New friends made, ideas shared and professional generosity at its best.

Thank you to Anna Heaton, Sarah Gill, Steph Benton-Miller, Kim Guiver and Becca Caddy for continuing to drive inclusion forward, both throughout the trust and the wider education community.
